My motorcycle days started back in 1973, first bike was an old Honda 150cc twin, then a Suzuki TS90 off-road/enduro bike.

First road bike was a 1975 Yamaha FS1E, the best days biking ever.( I have still got one it's a 1973 FS1E). Then I got a new Suzuki GT250B, good bike very quick, well it was after a fissy, thrashed it every where I went.

then I felt like a change a got my self a 4 stroke? A new 1977 Yamaha XS250 was I in for a shock! Lovely bike to look at, I was very patient with running it in. I took it back to the bike shop where I got it from and told them that there must be something wrong with it, it wont go any faster than 60mph, down hill with the wind behind you 75mph. It was the worst bike I ever had, it was the last road bike I had.

Yamaha DT175 off-road had it for about 5 years great fun, sadly no more bikes for 16 years.

In 1999 I rescued my Montesa Cota 349 and the Suzuki PE (to which we need an engine?).

I completely re-built the Montesa and for the past 4 years has given me good fun and enjoyment once a month at Halnaker

Adam’s Motorcycle interests started back in 1998 when he was 13 years old.

His first bike was the.Honda Camino, which was in a bit of a mess when he got it, but after many hours and the help from me (Dad) it was running as sweet as a nut, and many hours of fun was to be had on it, off-road.

Next he got his hands on the next machine which was the Honda City Express, after a de-coke and a new set of piston rings she was up to speed.

She under went several changes over the next year, a set of off-road tyres to help with the grip in the wet, change of air filter and exhaust and a top speed of 35mph.

Next bike a 1986 Fantic 241 Trial bike, had the bike since 2000, it has been very reliable although having a few niggling problems with low-tension coil, other than that it’s been a good bike, still is.

First road bike, a 1989 Yamaha TZR125, this has had many hours of work spent on it to get it looking tidy,

he’s had some good rides out over the past year and has given him the experience for possible future bikes.
